Opportunity Highlights
Join a collegial and supportive team that delivers a comprehensive range of urologic services, including open and minimally invasive surgery, endourology, laparoscopy, and incontinence management. The Urology Service is fully equipped with:
- State-of-the-art HD and laparoscopic operating suites
- Thulium and GreenLight XPS lasers
- Full PCNL equipment
- Access to the hospital’s comprehensive urology suite and Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU) for procedures such as cysto, vasectomy, minor surgeries, and intravesical treatments
The successful candidate will be provided with regularly scheduled OR, cystoscopy, and ACU clinic time, and will participate in a service on-call rotation.

As both an acute care hospital and a specialized mental health centre, NBRHC serves a large and diverse geographic area operating with three primary mandates:
- Providing acute care services to North Bay and surrounding communities
- Functioning as a district referral centre for specialized services
- Serving as the regional provider of tertiary mental health care across northeastern Ontario

Qualifications
- RCPSC urology certification with CPSO independent license in good standing
- NBRHC is a proud academic teaching site affiliated with the NOSM University, and candidates with an interest in medical education are encouraged to apply for appointment with NOSM U.

Remuneration & Incentives
This position offers a blended compensation model, including:
- OHIP billings
- Northern Specialist Alternate Payment Program (APP)
- Hospital On-Call stipends
NBRHC also offers a competitive recruitment incentive package, which includes:
- A $25,000 recruitment stipend
- A $25,000 City of North Bay practice start-up grant
- Relocation assistance funding
- Eligibility for up to $94,000 through the Northern Rural Recruitment & Retention Initiative
