The NBRHC Service of Obstetrics & Gynecology is an innovative, efficient and collegial service that is seeking locum OB/Gyn support while recruiting. As a designated Level II prenatal community based hospital, the service manages the obstetrical unit (average 930 deliveries/annually) and generalist obstetrical cases. Typical gynecological caseload includes laparoscopic hysterectomies, routine prolapse repairs, hysteroscopies, etc.
Locums will be assigned the on call role for the service with the expectation to provide coverage for emergent consultations, deliveries and surgeries. Locum assignment length and dates are flexible.

The North Bay Regional Health Centre, constructed in 2011, is a 433 bed health care organization with acute care services including a 24/7 emergency department, 16 bed Critical Care Unit, inpatient adult and pediatric medicine, dialysis, endoscopy and bronchoscopy services, obstetrics, pathology and surgical subspecialties to the surrounding catchment areas of Mattawa, West Nipissing and Temiskaming. Dates:
Locum support is required throughout the period of April 2025-June 2026. Locums assignment lengths and dates are flexible.

Qualifications
Applicants must be FRCPC obstetrics & gynecology certified with a CPSO license in good standing to practice independently.

Remuneration
Remuneration will be a combination of:
- NSLP’s daily on-call sessional of $1522 daily or OHIP billings (whichever is higher);
- NSLP’s daily honourarium of $331;
- NBRHC HOCC stipend of $463 per on-call day;
- NBRHC OB/Gyn locum stipend of $1000 per on-call day;
- NSLP travel sessionals and travel honouraiums
- NSLP Locum travel and accommodation funding
- Paid hospital orientation & free hospital parking will be provided.
