Locum Obstetrician/Gynecologist

The Service of Obstetrics & Gynecology of the North Bay Regional Health Centre is looking for someone who has a passion for community medicine and is seeking the good life. Job Description:
The NBRHC Service of Obstetrics & Gynecology is an innovative, efficient and collegial service that is seeking locum OB/Gyn support while recruiting for a new team member. As designated Level II prenatal community based hospital, the service manages the obstetrical unit (average 930 deliveries/annually) and generalist obstetrical cases. Typical gynecological caseload includes laparoscopic hysterectomies, routine prolapse repairs, hysteroscopies, etc.

Locum Role:
Locums will be assigned the on call role for the service with the expectation to provide coverage for emergent consultations, deliveries and surgeries. Locum assignment lengths and dates are negotiable.

Applicants are required to be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the Province of Ontario.

North Bay Regional Health Centre is a unique 433 bed health care organization with three primary roles: providing acute care services to North Bay and its surrounding communities, functioning as the district referral center providing specialist services for smaller communities in the area, and it’s the specialized mental health service provider serving all of northeast Ontario. Remuneration:
This position will be remunerated with a combination of OHIP billings fee for service (or clinical sessionals) and Hospital On-Call Compensation (HOCC). Our locums are HealthForce Ontario NSLP funded (urgent coverage) which includes daily honorarium, travel sessionals as well as travel and accommodation expenses.
