The North Bay Regional Health Centre is seeking an Anaesthesiologist to join our Department of Surgery.
Job Description:
The successful applicant will work alongside our team of nine anaesthesiologists in providing general anaesthesia services to general surgery, orthopedic surgery, obstetrics & gynecology, otolaryngology, urology, ophthalmology, dental surgery, ECT and the preadmission clinic. Proficiency in community pediatric anaesthesia is required. The service also provides consultative support for vented patients in the critical care unit.

North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC) is a unique health care organization with three primary roles: providing acute care services to North Bay and its surrounding communities, functioning as the district referral center providing specialist services for smaller communities in the area, and it is the specialized mental health service provider serving all of northeast Ontario. NBRHC is a 433 bed hospital with acute care services including a 24/7 emergency department, 8 theatre OR, 13 bed PACU, endoscopy suite, ophthalmology suite, labour & delivery suite and a 16 bed CCU. Qualifications
Qualified applicants will have licensure to practice independently in Ontario and a standing anaesthesiology fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Remuneration
This position will be remunerated with a combination of OHIP billings, Northern Specialist APP & Hospital On-Call stipends. Our organization has a competitive incentive package which includes a $25,000 recruitment stipend, $25,000 practice start-up grant, assistance with moving expenses and up to $83,000 through the Northern Rural Recruitment & Retention Initiative (NRRRI).
