Job Summary:
NBRHC is a large community hospital with a dynamic service of Internal Medicine. Our complement of 9 members presently includes general internists, nephrologists, gastroenterologists, endocrinologists and a respirologist. All members of the service share in the Internal Medicine on-call rota responsibilities including providing consultative services for hospital ER and in-patients as well as working in our sixteen bed ICU in collaboration with our anaesthesia colleagues. Our on-call model is supported by physician assistants to allow you to spend more time at the bedside, and less time on the computer. The organization is an affiliated academic teaching centre with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) and our service is involved in teaching the undergraduate medical and postgraduate Family Medicine and Internal Medicine residents.
Qualifications:
Applicants are required to be certified in Internal Medicine by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the Province of Ontario.

Remuneration:
This position will be remunerated through a combination of fee-for-service billings, a lucrative Northern Specialist Alternative Payment Plan, & Hospital On-Call stipends. In addition, NBRHC has a competitive Incentive Package which includes a $25,000 non-repayable, interest free loan, assistance with relocation expenses, and up to $83,000 via the Northern Rural Recruitment & Retention Initiative.
